  Help, my son has turned American !

  i don't know what's happened ... but whenever he plays on the xbox driving games he now puts on a very good 'american' accent.

  it is frighteningly good in fact !

  the only thing we can think of is that he's picked it up from his cousin who was over a few weeks ago and they played on it together quite a bit (liam get's on really well with him even though he's about 5 years older).. on reflection i guess it is a bit more canadian than american so i am not as worried about it (

  It's a strange thought that if we moved to Canada, the kids would probably grow up with an accent.

  Do you know the last time Afghanistan was defeated? There was some guy named Alexander the Great in charge.

  Ours is a war on terrorism - and we are winning. We beat fascism, we beat communism, terrorism will be next on the list.

  You beat communism, huh? 1/4 of the worlds population in China may disagree.

  Have You Changed Since You First Started Posting Here?

  on a different thread, berylblue mentioned how, when comparing my 1st post to the present ones, there is an obvious change.

  i do agree that we all can grow and learn as time goes on in our lives.

  my question for today is,"have you changed in how you think or in your growth from a spiritual and /or emotional standpoint"?

  No. I've been here since the H20 days (different name back then), and I don't think this forum has changed me at all. I posted under a different name here to for quite a while (until I forgot my password and my dormant Hotmail account was closed)

  The one thing I have learned however, is not to become obsessed with forums like this. Some people here have been out of the cult for 20 and 30 years, and they still are talking about it. That scares me. I hope to fade away from here eventually just like I did from the JW's.

  When I worked at Digital Equipment Corp. and designed opearting systems (RSTS, RSX, VMS), we defined the term, it was "foobar", the name of a test file, not "FUBAR."

  Huh? As Razorblade pointed out correctly, FUBAR is an acronym. Whatever "foobar" is, has nothing to do with this post. Perhaps before you start calling people idiots, you should figure out what's going on.

  At least spell it correctly before you desire to gas more Jews!

  Where did I display spite in my original posting? I made no statement whatsoever directed at Jewish people. My comments were related to US policy. Then again you wouldn't have noticed that because you are too absorbed in handing out "anti-semite" labels at the drop of a hat. Does that keep you busy?
